      Check it out here http://www.usmilitaryknives.com/boyt43.htm The rivet holding the retaining strap looks consistent with original sheaths,but original sheaths had blackened brass hardware.His description of the sheath does say it was not military issue and probably a post war leftover.The devil is in the details.
