Found these two tone (green/black) helmet nets that I have had for a long time. They might have been manufactured in the UK during WW2 ? Anyone seen these before or might have some information ?

emmagee1917, they are Canadian two tone (green and dark brown) helmet nets. Also used by the Canadian 13th Inf Brigade on their landing force on Kiska in the Aleutians during Aug 1943, which were issue US M1 helmets with these two tone helmet nets. These nets were also used on other patterns of the Canadian helmet tooLast edited by RCS; 09-07-2011, 08:05.Comment

It was my stab at humor.
So they were made that way on purpose ? Why ? I can understand reversible but not 1/2 - 1/2 like this.

The Canadians started in 1943 to use helmet nets, there were three types:
1. unicolour small mesh
2. small mesh dyed green and brown (my photos)
3. large mesh dyed medium green
never been able to log into the helmet or militaria forums but there must be additional informationComment
