I think the serial is way too low.
Also the adapter is wrong, does not have WWI markings. Quite possibly real, but post war commercial?

Canfield shows the SN block as E613000 to E705000, the GB item SN is E732353.

The adapter is wrong. As far as the serials, there could be some outliers, but there contract was for 25,000 guns and the serials of 670,000-705,000 fits that, not all numbers were used.

I would not pay trench gun money for that gun, because there are at least two big questions.
But that is just me.
