I bought a nice JC Higgins Model 102.25 (Stevens 520-30) to convert into a trench gun. Adding to it is an original heatshield for the 520-30. I have not cut the barrel or installed the heatshield yet, but pics show how it will look.

Nice idea. I have one of those Sears shotguns I picked up at a flea market many years ago. Mine is 16 gauge though so installing one of those heat shields is out. The takedown feature of this gun is nice though....chris3 -
You could add a discrete copper shim or two and I think it would work on a 16.Comment
