The same bayonet as was used on the U.S. Model of 1917 rifle.

And those trench guns and bayonets were issued as late as the Viet Nam war -- I had two in my company in '69.

The bayonets issued during Vietnam had plastic grip panels. Most were made in Canada on contract.

The bayonets, by the way, were M1917, originally made for the M1917 Enfield rifle.
