I've always wanted one and this one looks nice (mostly). Is that the correct "US" marking on the frame? Thoughts on this gunbroker auction please., 360959944

It looks like a nice one until you see all those holes someone drilled in the top of the receiver. It's collectability has been pretty much ruined.

The rear sling swivel is off of a Remington 1903-A3, but easy to swap back to an original. Unfortunately the extra holes on top are not.

I had a matching riot, with some pitting on frame. Paid around $450 for it. Bought a trench gun that would not disassemble properly and turned out to be non-matching. Love the look, too. Interestingly, I have a commercial version sold by Monkey Wards that was also drilled and tapped for scope (?) Go figure. Turning that one into a parked faux trench gun. With prices what they are on military SGs now, it might pay for itself in a few years, even with the extra holes.
