Which side of the receiver will the WW2 Win M12 trenchgun be marked on and would the riot version be the same or on the opposite side???

Both the Riot and the Trench Model 12's are marked with a U.S. and "flaming bomb" on the right side under the ejection port. Anywhere else on the receiver would make it a fake. The "CYL" markings on the barrel were also not put there by Winchester.
