What's the trench gun market like today? Anyone looking for any item in particular?

I am slowly coming around to selling some of the trench guns and appurtenances I've been collecting over the years. I have been collecting for a while and I have been fortunate to find some great items.

It has recently become apparent that I will not be able to display my collection as I have always planned. So I thought I'd throw a post here to see how demand is trending.

I have not been very active for a while. I'm less curious what's hot and more about what the real collectors are interested in.

I know some of you own fantastic items, but I've just about given up finding a genuine savage 720 riot.

I am looking for a model 12 Winchester trench in 95% or better condition. I would prefer a blued gun but would also be interested in a later, phosphate finished example.

My interest would be a WW ONE trench gun.

I have most of what I've been looking for with the exception of either a Model 97 Riot gun, military of course, or an originally parkerized Model 12 trench gun. So if you're looking to part with either of those let me know.

I got an email from a collector a week ago with riot guns for sale.
              Remington 11 Riot NIB $4500
              Stevens 620 Riot $2800
              Remington 31 Riot $2400
He also had a Stevens 620 trench for $4500
All the guns were 95% plus

I would like to first thank you for giving members on this forum a chance to improve or add to our collections. I am still looking for a M12 riot, a matching 520-30 riot, I too am missing a 720 riot, 520-30 trench in 95% or better. A Stevens 94B US marked. M11 in the 700xxx serial range. Sorry for all the different shotguns I am missing or wanting to improve. Regards

                  Wow, those prices are staggering.

I have a nice 620 and 520-30 trench. I'll try to post pics tonight or tomorrow morning.

Anyone got a good idea of what the 1912 might be worth?

Interesting...my (parkerized) Model 12 is roughly 550 numbers up from yours. It has the heat treat "hot spot" at the lower right hand corner of the ejection port, just like yours. Do you have any boxed GI ammo?

I had to look up the Stevens 94B. Good luck on that one. I know I live in an isolated area, but I've never even seen a US marked single shot that wasn't in a book. I was hard enough to find a blanket procurement 620. I never did find a really great example.

On the Ammo question; I have some of everything "for display purposes", I don't know that any of it is particularly rare or valuable. Mostly the kind of stuff you see at oldguns.net I never sprang for the mint packages which is okay given how they appear to deteriorate over time. Shrink wrapping helped.

when you get the chance would love to see pictures. Stevens 94B I have seen three two on gunbroker and one at a show. The one I seen at a show I thought it was a fake because I had never seen one. Went home did some research and kick myself for not buying it at like $150. The last one on gunbroker sold for $550 I was a bidder just did not want it that bad. If I had it to do over I might have bid higher.

Once I got the basic line of trench guns and most of the riots, I started looking seriously for some of the single shots and blanket procurement guns. Talk about coming up dry... and then prices started skyrocketing... then the economy tanked...

I'll post photo links as I get them taken. They may be slow in coming. I'll post the 2 Steven trench guns next.

It was kind of a stealth link, but the photos of the 1912 are in the fifth post on the first page.

Have we decided on any prices yet?
