    stevens 520-30 shotgun

    Hi guys,
As you can tell I am new to the forum and have a question about a stevens 520-30 shotgun that my dad has had for the past couple of years. The more I have read on these things, the more my head is spinning. It appears that all the markings are there. The serial number is 55XXX. My biggest concern is the fact that the heat shield is parkerized and not the blued version with the pinkish bayonet lug. But I have read some links stating that a few were used in vietnam and it may have been sent through the arsenal and attached with a parkerized one. I am going to attempt to attach a couple of pictures and see what you guys think. Thanks for your help, Mike

That bayonet adaptor is made for the Model 1905 bayonet, not the Model 1917 bayonet. It is not clear, at least to me, if they are USGI or aftermarket adaptors.

Not USGI , that's for sure. Have not seen or heard of this one before.

I believe they were made in the 1060's for commercial/police Ithaca trenchs.
