Any suggestions on this model 12???

The cartouche on the butt stock looks awful fresh and wanted some expert opinions on the entire piece. Here is the link for Gunbroker. Thanks in advance.

I agree that the stock cartouche looks fresh, though the Ordnance stamp looks like it could be OK to me, if it were on a mint condition blued Model 12 with a varnished stock. It's not. The stock has clearly been sanded and oiled. That's not a deal breaker on an arsenal reworked shotgun as I have pictures in my database of plenty of real ones that were. However, on those the GHD or WB and the Ordnance stamp are at least a little rubbed out from the sanding. These are nearly perfect.

The metal finish is a little too perfect for my taste. The color is right, but in my experience these have at least a few nicks or scratches. This one looks like it came out of the parkerizing solution last week. Maybe it did.

It is the wrong adapter!!!. NOT a Winchester adapter.
This is a basement gunsmith "rework".
No real collector would touch it for any price.

BTW the legit post war arsenal reworks had Bishop stocks with arsenal markings such as TE or AN. This is a total BS gun.
