    1897 winchester trench gun

    I have 97 Winchester gun. The markings on stock is marked GHD in box. Left side is marked NEGF over 3, what is this mark? The firearm is a 1942,heat shield is a 6X29 unmarked. The firearm is parkerized . anyone that can enlighten me on th trench gun will be greatly appreciated. Sorry I do not have capability to post pictures. Any help will be greatly appreciate. ThANKS
