    Lyman Alaskan Scope Question

Have a 1903a4 sniper that came with a Lyman Alaskan 2.5 power scope with adjustment caps. It is a All Weather scope with a serial no 49525 with a post and reticle cross hair. 7/8" tube. Looking for any info on this scope. I am sure this a replacement and non military tied. Year of manufacture? Thanks

If it has the capped turrets, it is from 1944 or later.
My main reference is Stroebel's book, which is becoming a bit dated now.
They were made in different configurations until 1957, with the main differing variant being turretless and made for the then in vogue adjustable target mount systems.
That's about all the info I have here, skimpy as it is.
Odds are high it's a post-war scope with the capped turrets....
