Looking for information on Colt SAA mechanism . . . .

    I’ve long been a tinkerer of these SA’s, but have always wondered . . . . .

What is the purpose of the RIGHT leg of the cylinder locking bolt?

I get the purpose of the LEFT leg, but the right leg serves absolutely NO purpose that I can see!

If the RIGHT leg was cut off, I could better stone down the thickness of the LEFT leg, as a part of the procedure in order to smooth-up the action a mite!

    Anyone know? —Jim
