Brass frames are considered "Confederate", due to shortages of iron and steel they had to use substitute materials.Comment

I don't know, I don't have a '62 pocket police to compare it to.
you have to take it apart and push the empty out with the rod on the end of the cylinder pin.
made by colt.
shoots to point of aim.
here is a half arsed video that I found on youtube that explains the functioning. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyilap60e2cComment

Thanks for that, Free. Long drawn out affair even for a single shot but it's definitely unique. About the same size as the '62.
I swiped an image off the net. Compares the difference in size between the 1860 Army .44 and the copy of the .36, 5-shot 1862 Pocket Police.

yes sir they did. me and a good buddy [pbuhs} cut lots of lawns and cleaned lots of gutters to buy a used pair of these pistols back in the early 60's. and we then proceeded to shoot the bejeezes out of them. no toy solder, tin can, or frog was safe when we were around.Comment
