    M1909 U.S.Army Question

Does the SRS cover the M1909 U.S.Army Colt .45? I have one (S/N: 31977) and was wondering. By the way it shoots great.

I don't know if found in SRS but I do know it was made in February 1918.

IIRC these were made in 1909 & 1910 only. You are thinking of a M1917 in .45 ACP. The 1909 is in .45 Colt.

According to the web site it is the 1917 Colt revolver but it is in .45 ACP and not in Colt .45. My mistake.

If you are sure it is a Model 1917 (it will indicate which on the butt where the serial number is) it was shipped February 16, 1918 to:

Ordnance Base Depot, U.S. Government, A.E.F. France, Ordnance Base Store #45, Bush Terminal, Brooklyn, N.Y.

No, I am NOT asking about a M1917. If you all will read what I wrote I am asking about a COLT M1909 U.S.ARMY in .45 COLT. These are far fewer than the M1917's.

Sir, it is just that everyone thinks I don't know what I have and they do. If they would just read what I wrote and maybe ask a question before sounding off we would not have had a misunderstanding. Will post a picture of the butt of the revolver.
