I suspect the outrage towards Trump this week will be the fact that he's not there in Puerto Rico in person to hand out emergency aid.

Mouthy lefty Mayor is complaining about they're not getting enough quick enough, despite standing in front of pallets of bottled water that don't appear to being handled for distribution. Reality is that, until roads for access to remote areas have been rebuilt or cleared, there's no way to distribute large amounts of emergency goods. The PR civil servants and idle gummint workers don't appear to be out in force lending a helping hand. I suppose, like with all victims, she expects someone else to come in and do all the work.

The left will cry an moan about it on Monday, and maybe on Tuesday the backlash will occur. Lefty mayor and a few PR slackers' heads on pikes may be the message needed to motivate the 3rd world losers into action.

A few years ago, some genius at work decided we needed to volunteer to go spruce up a local homeless shelter. While we scraped paint, taped off windows, and prepared to paint, the homeless bum residents treated us like we were in their way. I got fed up in short order and pointed out the problem to the goobers running the event. Someone brought in sandwiches for the volunteer workforce, and it was suggested we share with the slacker, moocher bums. I told them that if we didn't get cooperation and help from the 'inmates' we were leaving.

No cooperation, so 25 out of 30 of us left.

I wouldn't have been there in the first place. Every year we have this big Water Drive here in hot AZ for the homeless. Screw the "homeless". The homeless are bums and addicts. If we didn't give them water maybe they would move over to Sand Diego.

Re: Puerto Rico. I took part in some fund raising efforts on behalf of Casa Puertorriquena, Chicago. The feed back I'm getting is the Mayor of San Juan is grandstanding at the expense of the victims. Her film crews are showing her handing a can of Pringles to a kid. Handing over a single case of bottled water to a small town mayor who managed to get into San Juan. The list goes on.
San Juan is the major destination for the donated ships and air planes going into PR. Neither are major facilities on the grand scale we know here. The supplies are backing up and there are howls of not enough volunteers. That's a lie. Volunteers are being turned away by her own staff.
People are using tractors, (one contractor is using his bull dozers) chain saws, and in most cases machettes along with a lot of people power to open the roads. Once they get there the trucks are able to roll down into the city. In some cases trucks were turned away because in the middle of the hurricanes the license plates expired. Others were not "certified haulers" and letters of introduction from small town mayors aren't official enough for their liking. Again, the clipboard commandoes have a list that goes on.
Now she has promised to rectify the snags. In other words she is going to tell her staff when to lighten up. She's going to be running for Governor so she has to create a problem and then "fix it" to further her campaign. Meanwhile it's easier to make it look like this is all Trump's and FEMA's fault and she's want to appear as though she's setting THEM straight.

That's it in a nut shell.

FEMA: They showed up 8 days afterward armed with clip boards and haven't done anything but "har-umpff" since. As if there is no deadline. For them there isn't and all the i's and t's need to be dotted and crossed. That's just they way they work, but people thirsty and hungry aren't going to see it like that.

I wouldn't say nobody. Many around here have shifted focus today but they're still worried about friends, relatives, and property on the island. I take it you're not from a heavily PR populated area?
