Nancy was a looker back in the '60's. That's about it. She would not have made stardom had she not been the daughter of Frank who had mafia ties and could not carry a tune in a bucket, especially in his later years. Even at this she only had the one hit and it was written by someone else (Lee Hazelwood).

Now if she were hillary and constantly having to dodge sniper fire I could see her being opposed to a song with such lyrics like:

It was Nancy who sang, "These Boots are Made for Walking," but it was Jane Fonda who did all the rest of that.

Yes, it is well documented that Frank had ties with the Mafia. That is what launched his music career. His singing wasn't very well accepted at first so the DJ's across the nation were strong armed to play his crap 24/7 till it was.
