Jail time for a respectful "Yes, Sir," or a "Thank you, Ma'am."

You can't make this stuff up.

On Thursday, Gov. Jerry Brown signed a bill making California an even worse place to live. It is now illegal to be factual and call someone by their proper gender if they, xe, or sie don’t prefer it. Fortunately, though quite oddly, it only applies to nursing homes and residential care facilities... for now, at least.

I for one no longer desire our $ to be spent on products from this miserable excuse of a state! Why should I help to reinforce a failure?

you people in the other 49 just don't understand - you aren't enlightened

You see in California we legislate solutions and then see what kind of problem arises.

Try describing someone unknown to you without making reference to something like gender, race, age, a handicap/disability, or religion. The police will never be able to find anybody. Especially if the culprit happens to be a peg legged transgender-Asian, possibly Jewish (wearing a kippah) senior citizen.
I hope they all someday fall into their own trap of technicalities and are forced to pay the piper.
