Global warming is so bad the sea levels around the world are falling (that's right falling)!. and Algore and his band of geniuses are now looking for a way to blame it on global warming.
According to NASA...

Red here is the graph from your link. The variation that caused you to post is small against the multi decade trend and even the 2011 dip.

Speaking of the 2011 dip, here is a 2013 Scientific American web article about it.
The fall in ocean levels between 2010 and 2011 means the missing water had to go somewhere—and somewhere turns out to be Australia
You're a skilled polemicist but not all of your broadsides find their mark. In this case all you've done is to bring to our attention data that shows a sea rise of over 8 centimeters in the last 25 years. That doesn't seem like much water but across the oceans it adds up.Last edited by togor; 10-13-2017, 05:17. -
Not a member of the Chicken Little Society. But, that having been said, the U.S. Navy is already having to deal with problems at various bases due to changing sea levels. Perhaps falling levels will be problematic. What I've read indicates that problems stem from levels increasing. The US Navy cannot be said to be spouting whatever Greenspeace tells them to say, etc. Sincerely. bruce." Ah... so 3 inches in 25 years is a huge problem and proof positive the global warming is caused by humans???? But, if the current downward trend continues, for the next 22 years for a total of 25, that would be meaningless. Meanwhile you ignore the ups and downs of the oceans and the temperature over the last 25,000 years. Did man and his SUV's cause the glaciers in Minnesota to disappear.? 25 years isn't even .0000001 second in the geological time table. Sure NASA's time table is very short but please explain how you know for an absolute certainty that it won't last for another 25 years or, for that matter, another 250 years. I am merely quoting NASA... everybody knows what a bunch of fools they are!Global warming is so bad the sea levels around the world are falling (that's right falling)!. and Algore and his band of geniuses are now looking for a way to blame it on global warming.

By the way, since you have knowledge only Gods are privy to, how about giving me tomorrow nights Powerball numbers? That is only 25 hours away and you are already disclosing things that will happen in at least the next 250 years.Last edited by RED; 10-13-2017, 07:12.Comment

Please document that claim. Even togor admits that the rise has been 3 inches over 25 years. Exactly what problems has that 3" of water caused that forced the USN to deal with? Not a member of the Chicken Little Society. Ah yes the never ending circular global warming argument. I don't care if it's caused by the demise of the Carrier Pigeon it is my simple belief that man should strive to pollute as little as possible because it is simply the right thing to do.Comment

Google is your friend. Just plug in "US Navy Bases contending with rising sea levels." Refine the search if you will. Read the articles that come up and do note the sources cited. Sincerely. bruce." And men do that where and when they are given the freedom to succeed. That can only be done in a free society. People in most places don't have those rights. Here in the good old USA, we have those rights/opportunity more so than anyplace in history of the world. But, unfortunately, the current way to be cool is to spit on the country, dishonor the flag, spit on the anthem and piss on our veterans. In the 60's it was cool to be anti war and burn bras. In the 70's it was cocaine and "open," relationships. In the 80's it was the ERA and cool to be a single mother. in the 90s it was cool to come out of the closet... etc, etc.
Today it is cool to hate our forefathers, our heroes, our country and God. Not a single one of the kneelers can tell you how they are making life better for anyone, including them. They are doing it because it puts them in the "cool," crowd. It is just like someone said, they either don't know the damage they are causing or they just don't care.
They have no class, no education, and no understanding of history or economics. They are human debris and right now they are destroying this country... but that is OK because it is cool.Comment

Red is trying to move the subject away from his bad position, but let's close this out where it started, with rising seas. Who do we know who is really good at science and engineering and who has a lot of skin in the game? The Dutch. So if it's the Dutch, NASA and the US Navy on one side of an issue and Red on the other, then it's pretty obvious which way to bet.Comment

Thanks for putting up the larger graph. I was looking at that too on the site and thought I had missed something.
There have been slight drops and even greater drops in years past. Fluctuations in the upward trend. That leads me to lean more towards natural rising rather than man-made, but the levels are still slowly rising. What the graph tells me is that we're at a plateau point for the moment. It will take a few more years of measuring before we can tell if the trend might actually be changing course. I don't believe it will. Mother Nature is a stubborn old....2016 Chicago Cubs. MLB Champions!

Idiocy... I merely pointed out a conclusion NASA had reported the seas were falling. My basic point was that jackasses like you would twist NASA's report into claiming it supports manmade global warming. There is not one damn thing in my post that said:
1. I agreed with NASA.
2. That the finding was accurate.
3. That the seas would continue to fall
Your post illustrates how big a jackass you are... You twist and lie and agitate.
I live in the "Show Me," State. Here is the post in it's entirety:

Read a couple of years ago that the Great Lakes were drying up. Global Warming! The other day, read that Lake Michigan is rising. Why? Global Warming!

Well it's all a matter of timescale, Red. I see a 25 year trend in the chart that is pretty constant, with some higher frequency modulation that has been strongly linked to short term weather effects. I have no idea what you see when you look at the signal, or why you look at it with a 1, 2, or 3 year sliding window and think you can draw any conclusions with high confidence.Idiocy... Blah... blah ... blah.... you are a fool.... I don't look at anything in 1,2, or 3 year increments. I said that idiots and jackasses would turn the NASA findings upside down and use it to support manmade warming theories...Well it's all a matter of timescale, Red.
