Wow... if this "bubble" breaks the world economy is in the tank. But, then you notice this is the NY Times take on it.

If this bubble breaks it will not wreck the world's economy, the stock market won't loose 10,000 points and most of the world would not be impacted in the slightest. Here is a little different view...

Let's see; it rates 151 out of 175 on the corruption perception index. The article also states "Although Tajik law recognizes the sanctity of contracts, the country’s judicial system is opaque and enforcement is poor."

It should be noted the current administration and the Congressional GOP folks want to loosen regulations put in after the last bubble. They want faster growth. Well what grows really fast? A financial bubble.

If one is going think along those lines, booze (esp. Whiskey and Vodka) and iodized salt. You can trade the booze for things you need, Sam. Meanwhile, both will keep.

Problem with ethanol, at least around here, is that it is easily made. Moonshine is an Appalachian craft that is well know and sometimes practiced. If done right it can be an elixir, if not a good poison. Tobacco is easily grown here as well and done a great deal...not as much as before. Farms had tobacco barns galore, now you hardly see them. Too many guy's think they can scavenge lead from car batteries with horrible results. Making your own black powder can have sad results as well, no my friend I think that smoke free powder along with primers and brass are good candidates to have.
