So you are telling us that the Dr. was a paid liar and there was no bone spur... and you know this how? You saw the Xrays and can testify in court they were faked?

You were there and saw Trump pay off the Dr.???

Ahhh, no that didn't happen so you must be clairvoyant and can know things that us mere mortals can't... You now have the status of God and can read minds, convey telepathic thoughts, and perform miracles.

You don't have a freeking clue!!!! You are just repeating lies you saw on the internet or the fake news at six oçlock.

Prove it... or get of the pot.

My wife and I both served -- she was a Viet Nam-era Army nurse. I'll let her speak for both of us, "They should have shot the son-of-a-bitch!"

I served. Pvt Eddy Slovik was executed in WW2 and he caused less harm then Bergdahl. Men died trying to find this piece of crap. My opinion was he should have been shot. I now support a pardon for Slovik.

I've been in the hiring world for a few decades now and I can tell you that with the exception of the gov't no one cares what type of discharge you have, hell most of our fellow countrymen don't even know who this man is.

So he gets busted, gets a dishonorable discharge and a $10,000 fine. Big friggin deal. He might get a book deal, he has a mental disorder and will get some kind of gov't payout. He probably has no shame and will live his life how ever he pleases.

No VA benefits, and he's gotta live with what he did with no chance to put things right. I don't know the guy but it seems to me that is life sentence of a sort.

Deserters were shot in the old days as a disincentive to others in the ranks to make the same choice. Heck the Brits shot guys in the Great War for cracking in the strain of battle, only to regret it later. The killing of one's own should never be taken lightly and since the US military does not have a desertion problem, they appear to have concluded that they don't need to make that kind of example of the guy.

I would have thought a couple years at least of incarceration would make sense, but maybe they just want him off their books ASAP.

That and his discharge are being appealed by his high-powered legal team, all pro-bono work of course by radical left wingers--the same ones who defended Manning and other transfreaks still in the service, the same ones who fight deportation of every alien, the same ones who fight any attempt to control immigration, etc. Hundreds of lawyers are involved, and since their "clients" can't pay, who is supporting them?

He did plead guilty so his punishment will stand for now. In the future they will use his mental disorder as the reason he did it and I'd bet a few years down the road his discharge gets up graded.

When I was in 'Nam, one of our perimeter guards shot a 'civilian' at night when he refused to stop as he approached the 'wire'. Poor guy got a jail sentence in Leavenworth.
