He started out concerned only with ending segregation, but moved further & further to the left as long as he lived, embracing the anti-war agitators, endorsing socialism, and other far-left causes. I for one recall the violence, rape, and mayhem that followed in MLK's wake during those peaceful marches.
I also remember when crowds were being told to cease and desist when blocking traffic and interfering with business. The warnings were issued and pleas to stop were well documented before the dogs and fire hoses came into play.
Funny how those things have disappeared from the newsreels and articles of the day.

You are reading what the newspapers and racist Democrats said about him. He was pro family, pro marriage and didn't like out of wedlock babies. He was for blacks working, going to school and being self reliant. He publicly stated that even the very poor could afford a bar of soap. He would be aghast at the welfare society of today. In short he was for integration... He wanted the blacks to become a part of society and become Americans, NOT African Americans, not beggers, gangbangers nor slackers wearing, dreadlocks, baggy pants, and speaking Pigin.

Was he perfect? No, unlike some of the people here, he was foible, and had shortcomings and was forced in some cases to defend actions he was not comfortable with. And, yes he probably had sex with with some women he should not have... But, he was a man and not a God.

Not just a "man"--a "man of the cloth," which is a profession that's supposed to demand a more scrupulous adherence to the moral code than is expected from ordinary sinners. In his special case, he had to have known that he was also risking disgracing the movement he was leading if his adultery was exposed.

But all that's insignificant compared to his jumping on the anti-war bandwagon--this was an issue unrelated to civil rights that he didn't have to involve himself in.

I said it was reported and offered a link.. I didn't make it up ... it was "reported" I can prove that it was reported by a dozen different news sites. You can look it up... it is out there.
