You know someone could accuse you of sexual ideations for your statement...shish, what kind of a nation of pc have we turned into? Women "dress or undress" and if a guy says anything he catches hell!

She sure is spunky and doesn't mess around.

Recently, she went to visit her ailing mother, needed to get there quickly, and ended up getting a ticket for doing 119 mph.

I guess that's why they call dead people "late", they're not going anywhere fast or slow.

Sounds familiar. When my dad was dying I was a little stressed. I was 28 yrs old. I was driving kind of fast. A cop pulled me over. I pleaded stress. He told me I needed to slow down and gave me a ticket. I agreed. Only one of two speeding tickets I've gotten in thirty years.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

Who? Sorry but just don't follow such people. Curious though. Speeding that far above the limit, would one normally be only ticketed or what? Would it only be a speeding ticket or would it be recklessness driving, etc., etc., etc. Seems like when I read of such a incident involving some teenager, they get the proverbial book thrown at them. So, what is the norm? Sincerely. bruce.

In Iowa, if you are stopped for doing 20+ mph over the posted limit, you loose your license for 180 days.

I believe it's the same here in Alabama. Anything over 20mph the posted limit is considered reckless driving. I don't have any problems with the local police but I have found that the state troopers use this law to their advantage. They will pull you over and trust me if you get pulled over you WILL get a ticket of some sort, then they will write you up for going 20mph over the limit regardless of how fast you were actually driving. I'm speaking of 0-10mph over the limit. There is never any radar printout or anything--just the troopers hand written ticket. This brings in the max $ amount for the state w/o the trooper having to prove in court that you were guilty of reckless driving. Want to fight it in court? How many people want to waste a day or take a day off of work, pay court cost of $200+ with the guaranty that they will lose? In any event in some cars you feel the speed much more so than others but at 119mph you would have to know you might be pushing it a little. When I first read the article on Jeanine I wondered about the speeding only ticket. She definitely got a break that none of us would have gotten but (if true) she at least got the lesser ticket.

Goddaughter's husband was a state trooper. Never used his radar for tickets; he made his non existent quota by following clueless fools using his dashcam. Kept getting tossed out in court because the goal wasn't to prove to the driver they were going 100+. The goal was to force people to give in to the State's claim they were criminals without any proof.
Went back to being a street cop dealing with drug dealers, prostitutes and gang bangers. That way he could look at himself in the mirror.

119, sorry you may not realize your doing 10 or 20 over, but you know dang well your flying when your going that fast. in most places thats reckless endangerment, and a trip to jail.
