Unbelievable:"darling of the left" Charlie Rose accused of harrassment!

Anchor of CBS Morning News, best of the network morning shows, with his own long-running PBS show. Actually, what he's accused of doing amounts to just about nothing, but as long as the current hysteria is raging, it's good to see it bringing down such "beloved" liberal icons as Charlie; who's really pretty easy going as liberals go--I watch at least part of his show at 7am every morning. Going to be HIGHLY interesting to hear what's said about it tomorrow AM.

Well, he's admitted it -- albeit in a pretty weasel-worded apology.

Still, it appears the mere accusation is enough to destroy the careers of anyone who is accused -- which goes against the grain of "innocent until proven guilty."

It's got to be a bitter pill for the left-wing media to be put in the position of having to condemn such (previously)beloved favorites as Charlie & Al, but their own absolute & fanatical commitment to PC compels them to do it.

Once upon a time ... my wife and I were newly weds. I was enrolled in graduate school. She was working on her PHT ... putting husband through. She worked at a local private hospital run by the Sisters of Mercy in NO, LA. One day she came home upset. A priest spoke to her ... said some things that were most assuredly not appropriate. Being full of vinegar and such, I went to get in the car and go have a chat with that priest. She told me not to since it would be his word against her word ... and in 1979... no one would have listened to her. She was right. No one would have said a thing about it. Not so many years later we were serving a local church in a rural community. We had little children. I worked days. She worked nights. One night a hospital employee entered her office and told her what he'd like to do to her. A few nights later, before she went to work, my wife put m 1911 in her purse. That night when the man again came in her office, she pulled that pistol out of her purse and told him she would "chop you in half with my husband's gun." The next day I had a talk with the administrator. His great concern was that she had pulled a gun on the man. The man had harassed other women at the hospital with no consequences. One of my church members was on the board. Had a talk with him. In short order, the man was fired. The administrator asked that I meet with him. He asked me to ask my wife not to bring another gun to work. I told him if he'd handed his business properly, it would never have been necessary for my wife to carry my pistol to work. Nowadays, a lot of good ole boys are all of a sudden finding out that payback is, how does one say it ... you know! Like it or not, it is not a mans world. It hasen't been a mans world for a long long time. Truth is, it never should have been. Best that it now is not. More women than men are enrolled in college ... going into professions where decisions are made that will shape the future. Guess if boys are going to be boys, they'll have to learn to take the consequences like men. This goes for the twits on the left and the twits on the right. If this cramps someones style ... so be it. The Magna Carta cramped the style of a king whose noblemen had had enough. The Declaration of Independence twisted the nose of a monarch whose colonists had had enough. The COTUS cramped the style of those individuals/states that would have saddled the new republic with a overburdening federalism. Nowadays ... these women are simply doing exactly the same thing that free men and free women have always done. The only one's objecting are the ones who are getting the sharp end of that sword the little lady out front of the court carries ... along with that scale. That priest is by now dead and gone. That man at the hospital was fired. Where he went ... don't know. Probably went on offending. Maybe he ended up saying hello to a .45 ACP. Don't know. If so, if I'd been on the jury, I'd have voted justifiable homicide. Sincerely. bruce.
