Yet another Democrat Senator charged with sexual harassment

John Conyers out of Michigan (not a Senator, but a Representative)

    - Just one of the many settlements over the last 20 years that have amounted to over $15 million of taxpayer money. (my bet - 90% were Dems, 10% Repubs)

    - How many of these 'settlements' were scams where politicians worked with female friends to 'settle' a fake harassment suit and then split the money?

Hours after outright denying an explosive report on alleged sexual harassment, powerful Democratic lawmaker John Conyers admitted Tuesday that he settled a complaint with an ex-staffer -- who reportedly said she was fired for rebuffing his advances.

17 million in tax payer dollars paid out over the last 20 years to hush the accusers! Enough of this crap! Stop the wastes of human skin using our money to cover their high school antics.

Might want to stay off the soapbox guys. Otherwise someone is bound to ask why you don't believe "Access Hollywood" Trump's accusers. In other words I don't think this is a topic best viewed through the lens of political affiliation. Big shots of all stripes have gotten away with this sort of thing for a long time. For some reason a backlog of complaints is being aired now.

If a female dresses "proactively" could not a male charge her with sexual harassment because she distracted and enticed him? Seems to me that this blade can cut both ways too.

That's a good point Sam. At some point this is going to move past this backlogged avalanche of harassment reports to a wider discussion. The un-PC truth is that some women DO advertise their availability in ways that make men think with the other head, and not by accident.

That low-life SOB Conyers isn't just "another" Dem--he's been one of the most viscous & loud-mouthed gun-haters for as long as he's been living the easy life in DC, about 40 yrs I think. He's now so old he'll probably not run again after this scandal, which is good, though only another radical lib has any chance of winning in his crime-ridden district.

"Some reason"??? You know damn well what the reason is - to bring pressure on Trump. A poll was just released claiming that 61% of the population supports impeachment if the assertions against him are "proven" to be "true". The fact that groping (while certainly unsavory) is not a "high crime" or "misdemeanor" in the sense intended by the Constitution has escaped them, of course.
