Girl Scouts Tell Parents Not To Allow...

... their children to hug relatives during the upcoming holidays. Are they also going nuts? What the hell is happening to all of our national traditions and institutions?

Not the worst advice in the world considering all the perv reports out there. If copping a feel on a niece or granddaughter is a national tradition then it's one we can live without. I had a grandma who was pretty sharp at the start of a visit but kinda sloppy and incoherent by the end. As a little kid nobody explained to me that she was loaded and had an alcohol problem. All I knew was that something strange was happening that didn't make sense. Not the same as sexual abuse of kids but when there is abuse it is family members doing it a lot of the time. I think the Girl Scouts have it right during this teachable moment in time.

Proper hugs are a part of our family. We show love and respect! Girl and boy scouts can kiss my rear!

No hugging and kissing in my family, I didn't even kiss my SIL at her wedding and I was Best Man. IMHO people go overboard on it.
