IF Israel were to any real degree the people of Jewish faith who are heirs of Abraham, they would have legitimate claim to the land.
Need to be careful about saying that. Dictating that outside our borders yet not giving the US back to the Indians and refusing reparations to families of former slaves here makes us sound somewhat hypocritical, don't you think?
My opinion? None of them matter in that sense. Get with the times. Suck it up. The world has changed. Israel now occupies Jerusalem today. If the Israelis wish to move their Capital and Capitol there then it's up to them. No biblical claims needed.
Simply granting them British Palestine in the first place based on Biblical claims was a social engineering mistake. However the deed was done and now the consequences need to be dealt with.

The pope should stick to whatever popes do, and forget politics. Oh wait, If hedid that, he’d have to take down the wall around the Vatican.

With respect, one must keep apples and oranges separate. Israel of today is merely a political construct, no different than any other nation found in the area. It's legitimacy is rooted in the UN decision of 1948. If Israel were not merely a political construct, it if were a nation founded upon faith in God who promised the land to the descendants of Abraham through Isaac, then they would have a leg to stand on.

Reality is that the people of Palestine/Israel are for one another an inconvenient truth that will not go away. The surrounding arab nations of course use the Palestinians as a political foil. To a degree, the ussr did the same thing. If the US had not supported Israel, it would be nothing more than a note in the history books. Now w/o the support of the ussr and now with US support very much questionable, the two parties will be forced to face the reality that they are not so very much important. There are bigger fish to fry in that region of the world ... the kind that build nuclear weapons in under ground, the kind that have lots of money from oil sales, etc.

This is not the first time a capital has been moved in Israel. David moved it from Hebron to Jerusalem. It was a good choice for that era. Later ... when the Romans came knocking, it was not such a good place to be. Today it is the sort of flash point that draws fools like a bright light draws bugs at night. Sooner or later, one side or the other will do something stupid. It is the nature of fools. The get together with others as senseless as themselves and do things that reflect their nature ... fools. When it happens, one side will blame the other side, just like they always do. Sooner or later, it will escalate beyond guns and such stuff. Folks over there are getting access to some real hot stuff. Sooner or later, someone is going to light one of those rocket things up. Then the fat will hit the fan. Come that unhappy day, won't no one be terribly concerned with who calls Jerusalem its capital. JMHO. Sincerely. bruce.

No wonder Unitarianism makes the most sense.

This is true Sam, and I have no tolerance for it. But your Whataboutism doesn't change the fact that folks here support a child molester for the Senate on the grounds that 52-48 is better than 51-49.

Pray tell, has this man been convicted in a court of justice of any crime? We have people saying of a crime where is the factual evidence of said crime? There are three sides to every story, your side my side and the reality which is somewhere not found yet. Do YOU have empirical evidence to share with us, were you in attendance when any of the "incidents" are said to have happened? Why are you so willing to condemn with the possible exception of political opposition?

Since you were obviously there 40 years ago and I wasn't and since none of these accusations involve rape or sex how are these young ladies stating they were molested? By being touched, asked out for a date or that heaven forbid "best wishes" note in the yearbook?

You really sound like a stuck record. Your vocabulary is about as thin as your skull is thick and I'm pretty sure most everyone here is tired of hearing about this over and over and over. The only reason I haven't blocked you is because you bring up my name and this is about Moore, an Alabama politician, which I feel I have some obligation to comment on. Even if guilty, a child molester is better than a child murderer.

Sorry Sam. You posted while I was proof reading my reply. Looks like we are saying about the same thing.

Maybe we need to send all the Europeans back to Europe, all the Asians back to Asia, all the Middle Easterners back to the Middle East, and all the Blacks back to Africa. Then the Native Americans really need to take a close look at their immigration policies; maybe even build a wall.......

If only they knew then what they know now. They did try to stop immigration though but were overpowered. They even shot Ponce de Leon with a flaming arrow when he made too many trips to the fountain of youth in St. Augustine each time bringing more settlers with him.

That was respectful and with your elaboration I can see your perspective a bit better now. You and I aren't really that far off opinion-wise. Thank you.

Don't put words in my mouth
I don't have to put words in your mouth... you spout absolutely stupid, trash, lies, and bull crap every time you post. I don't like Roy Moore and think he is a fake and a phony just like you are. But you claim knowledge you don't have. In your opinion Moore is a child molester. That is your opinion and you are entitled to have stupid opinions but when you claim it is a fact, that is a lie.

Prove to us that Roy Moore is a child molester. Give us names, dates, sworn testimony, indictments, convictions, and facts. If you can't do that then you are admitting it is nothing but slander.

Oh, and another thing, you have stated Mueller is doing a "clean," job by firing a couple of Clinton's supporters... Wow! That is so stupid it is laughable. Mueller hired those guys because they were Clinton's henchmen. Some reporter finally did some actual reporting and the truth came out. Actually he did not fire them. They are still working for and being paid by the FBI just reassigned.

Then there is the Palestinian thing. You pretend there are no Palestinians that are citizens of Israel. Another deception and total lie. There are 1.2 million Palestinians that are citizens of Israel. There are many, many more Palestinians that are permanent "residents," and have turned down the offer of citizenship.

Agitate, agitate, agitate, twist and turn, hate and burn.

OK that was un-Christian of me so I give a different reply. But not to you since you really don't read my posts anyways, having proven that many times in the past. For the other members of the forum.

Moore is already condemned by his own words and his own deeds. Did he not say "I never dated a girl without her parents' permission"? Stop and consider that for a moment. And why is he writing in the yearbooks and sending graduation cards to high school girls barely half his age? And his deeds. Consider the difference in age between him and the woman he did marry, and the story around when they met. (For those who don't read the link, she got on her radar when he saw her at a dance recital when he was 29 and she was 15).

                                http://www.newsweek.com/roy-moore-wi...a-minor-718819

Why is a 29 year old man at the dance recital in the first place? Was there a niece we haven't heard about?

Add to this what the women are saying about Moore, and what women everywhere are saying. Like others, I believe the women.

As for the Palestinians, two things: One, the fact that there are Israeli Arabs does not contradict anything I wrote. In fact it supports it. Israeli citizenship gives a Palestinian a better life. Two, as I say, momentum for a single state system will not build. Too many players in the region, from Zionists to Saudi princes and Iranian Mullahs to Egyptian generals and corrupt politicians everywhere have too much invested in preserving the status quo. It is especially working for Israel since they built their wall. At the same time, life for Palestinians in the West Bank and especially Gaza is very hard, with no prospect of deliverance. Most do not become violent, but none have been given a reason to love Israel.
