It is dear old England. It is not the US. Down the road can something similar happen here? Possibly. Over the years lots of things have happened overseas. And, some of it has come here. But, whatever happens, it will only happen if people allow it to happen. This mess in ear old England didn't happen b/c someone didn't have a gun to fight with. It happened b/c lots of someones by their votes/failure to vote put into place the people who have made these decisions. If our nation continue as more than a shell of what we thought it once was, it will depend entirely and completely on who gets out an votes and for whom they vote. If the libertarians have their way, this sort of thing will be the norm, i.e., anything goes. That will not be so likely. More likely will be that distinctions the left judges arbitrary/restrictive will with the support of the libertarians be eliminated even criminalized. The right will not prevail alone for the same reason the left will not prevail alone, b/c neither the "crazy left" not the "rabid right" are a majority. There is more that could be said about this. But that would take more coffee and time. I could enjoy more coffee. I just don't have more time. Sincerely. bruce.

I can't understand how we went from a dumbass ad ban in the UK to badmouthing Bruce. Was his opinion offensive or simply too long for the conversation?
