Here comes another "Most Important Election of our lifetimes"

because if the democrats manage to take the Senate
then nothing will get done, period.
It will also show how stupid the general population is.
It's pretty obvious that this upcoming generation is
far less savvy than the previous one (ours) - and when
I say less savvy, I'm being kind. So what hope is there ?
Trump may well be the last Conservative before the
    Socialists take over.
College graduates today can't read their own diplomas, and
the vast majority of the millions of illegals in the country
can't speak English and all their women are pregnant.
Just what the liberals love = Uneducated dependents.
New York and California, bastions of liberalism are
unassailable and Florida presently being flooded with
tens of thousands of displaced Puerto Ricans might easily
fall to the democrats. All they'll need then is Texas and
with busloads of illegals flooding cities everywhere, I'm
sure Texas cities are high on the target list. With these four
safely in their pocket democrats will be in charge for
    God knows how long.

Just ran into my former tax lady at the grocery and mentioned I'll be taking a computer course next semester. She told me fresh graduates in something data processing whatever are starting at well over $100k. "What about an M.A. in Feminist Dance Theory?" A woman with a sense of humor is a rare find.

Dogtag, just a radical thought here--

Democratic base is women and minorities, the people in this society who have to put up with the most crap in life on a daily basis. Instead of bemoaning the fact that these people might actually get some power and doing whatever they can to stop it, maybe the GOP could do something unthinkable like find a way to embrace some of their issues, the stuff they give a sh*t about.

Yeah I know, more insane talk from togor.

Very funny. I laughed out loud. Well, I kind of chuckled.

Women and minorities get a nod on occasion. There's a reason for that.
              - Instead of bemoaning the fact that these people might actually get some power and doing whatever they can to stop it-
You sound like kapperdink and a whole litany of predecessors. Poor me, why not me, what about me? Your dumb. That's why you are where you are. It's like gravity or any other law of nature.

There are lots of laws under man and nature. Remember the "golden rule"? Not that one. The other one: "he with the gold makes the rules". Tell me that isn't the law of the land today more than it has been in your entire lifetime.

There are a lot of laws the Democrats want the Republican Trump Administration to follow that the lawless Obama Administration refused to observe. What if Trump endorsed the import of cocaine into the U.S. by the No. Koreans? The Three Stooges would go nuts... but Obama endorsed Hezbollah's cocaine trade and refused to enforce the law because it might endanger the Iran deal and that is just fine.

Back in the day of the industrial giants like Carnegie and Rockefeller and others like Hearst the small group of really sharp guys got incredible rich. And they didn't take any crap from Labor. When the silver miners in Leadville(who were nearly starving) asked for a .25 raise The Big Guy sent in the National Guard. They nearly clear cut the CA redwoods for their furniture. Hearst had marble from Italy(with the Italian workers) sent around the Horn. Tell me it isn't a little better today? Yes, the Rich are obscenely rich today, but that's the point of getting rich. And it's not just a few rich, there's millions of "rich". I used to think, I know there's people who are rich, but how can this many people get rich? It's easier with all the education available(I still couldn't figure it out). I'm not sure it's an improvement for the good of the planet and society, but if people are poor today they've missed to boat somewhere. And women have plenty of say today(big surprise women have something to say). Blacks are never happy. And there's plenty of white people who are dumb and want to blame someone else.

Well dryheat, I guess you, me and dogtag are in agreement: if the GOP is going to bank on winning by having a highly motivated base instead of broadening its appeal, then it will be exactly like dogtag says.

Since Red chimed in, I'll throw him a bone--gee Red, you'd think that with so much winning going on everywhere thanks to Trump, dogtag could breath easy. You know?

There are basically two types of people in the United States color notwithstanding. That is urban and rural with a hybrid of urban who move to rural and want to maintain the same status. I live in the country and have a dour look upon urban and vice versa. There are rural blacks that are no different in dress nor outlook upon life then I am. From working with the urban criminals color was not a major difference, neither was trustworthy they could be charming, likeable but rogues non the less. Working around wealthy, not major wealthy, I got the appearance of trying to outdo each other which I found amusing. When our son was in Iraq he and his men saved an Iraqi family from being murdered, when our son's unit rotated home in appreciation our son was give 4 Rolex watches as gifts. Two for his parents and two for his wife's family as "payment" on lives saved. I wore the watch to work and our head psychiatrist went ballistic when he saw my watch. To me it was a watch, to him a status symbol that he could not afford yet. For the first time in my life I had something that a well to do man didn't and I immediately experienced a difference in him. I get the same admiration when I go out with Wolf, my Compadre and I still find it perplexing. I am no better or worse then a black, or female or fill in the blank. As an American I have something that most people in the world, including Europe will never get to experience and that is FREEDOM. Freedom to be me, to try and be the best that I can be, to see people die trying to reach MY LAND to have what I, by the Grace of God, gave me as my life. As we go to Christmas American's need to be grateful of who we are AMERICANS!
