Ex Professor Says Christmas Is A Palestinian Festival

    Another crackpot heard from.

A former Pace University history professor, who recently came under fire for a children’s book that praises intifada, claims “Christmas is a Palestinian festival.”

    What an ignoramus.

In 135 A.D., after the collapse of second Judean revolt against the Roman Empire the Romans banned all Jews from what had been Judea, outlawed the practice of circumcision throughout the Roman Empire, outlawed the Hebrew religion (so Jews and Christians then had that in common,) and, for good measure, re named Judea "Syria-Palestina;" Palestine being the Latin word for Philistia as one last insult...the Philistines being the ancestral enemies of the Hebrews. Statements like this remind me of a comment by Josh McDowell that too often PhD only means "educated beyond your intelligence."

Stuff like this cracks me up.

Yup. He totally blew past the origins of our modern calendar to pursue his private agenda. Sort of explains why he might be an EX-professor.

Should be- P is for Pinhead, as in the guy who wrote the book.

There are many who are ex something ... ex soldiers, police, teachers, politicians, etc. Don't know why this person is an ex-professor. May have simply changed jobs. May have been let go. Don't know. Don't care. The book ... smart way to reinterpret history, i.e., start with children. Don't like it at all. Not anything my grandchildren will ever see. But, instructive. Think of Rush and his books about the early days of this nation. If any of us expect to see any real improvements for our nation, we are going to have to pay attention to the children. Screaming and hollering about twits on t.v. will change nothing. Sit down and spend time with children. Read to them. It is about the very best way of making meaningful changes for the future. The only ones paying attention to screamers on t.v. are people who have time to sit around and watch t.v. ... i.e., senior citizens and people not going to work. JMHO. Sincerely. bruce.
