It has always been my surmise the dossier was an excuse to try to tie Trump to Russian money laundering, by hook or by crook. Now Bannon has made the claim, unsubstantiated but still a rabbit for Mueller to chase. Last I read Trump had said nyet to Russian investment capital but had borrowed through DeutcheBank which had Russian money.

Trump better not have any Russian coins in his coin collection,
or Russian stamps in his stamp collection because Mueller will
ferret that out.
