Al Gore explains why Cold is Warm ...

Of course you have to have an extremely high IQ
if you wish to be at the same level of intelligence
as Al himself, so for we ordinary people who think
cold is cold and warm is the opposite - we obviously
have difficulty understanding such things. Luckily,
we have the ex VP who can help us to understand.

Former Vice President Al Gore has weighed in on the record cold and snow in the U.S. “It’s bitter cold in parts of the US, but climate scientist Dr. Michael Mann explains that’s exactly what …

Have never wasted my time listening to him. Weather and climate are not the same thing. If I want to hear someone speak about climate/weather, I will listen to someone who is actually qualified by education, training and experience. Gore is not. JMHO. Sincerely. bruce.

Leap of faith that you aren't being 100% sarcastic while sitting in your climate controlled house.

Climate change due to CO2 and methane based heating means more energy in the atmosphere. So average temperatures higher GLOBALLY. But more energy stored in the atmosphere means more energy available for dynamic systems. So bigger, more intense storms, capable of moving air physically larger distances, say from the arctic to the Carolina coast in very little time.

The Erie, PA lake effect bonanza was due to warm waters from a warm December sitting in front of a strong blast of cold air from the north pole. An example of extreme conditions now possible due to more energy in the atmosphere.

If you know electricity, think of a DC voltage with an somewhat random AC voltage riding on it. Both increase in amplitude, which means sometimes new record low voltages occur, even as record high voltages occur at a much higher ratio than record lows.

Al Gore: ‘Bitter cold’ is ‘exactly what we should expect from the climate crisis’

Jeffro Bodine couldn't have said it with more intelligence.

Since he has been proven to be wrong many times he now changes the term to "climate crisis".

If anything, we have a population crisis.

I vote Al Gore for Dog catcher.
Assuming he's qualified, which is doubtful.

An Aussie friend of mine from near Sydney just transplanted to Brooklyn within the past year. We visited with one another during Christmas. His mind is boggled as he admits to not knowing where he'd rather be right now...weather-wise.

I can almost believe that since so many Australian homes don't have heat. The past two winters they were sitting in their homes bundled up due to colder-than-normal temps in the Blues.
