The law not being iron clad is exactly what millions of would-be illegals all over the world count on! The Mexican press is said to play up deportations in order to portray the Yankees as heartless exploiters of Mexican labor, but let's hope they don't do the same with this story--because what effect will it have on those already planning to jump the border? Yet another reason to hope that if they can get across, and keep their heads down, someday there'll be an amnesty for them, too.

Seriously. You ask in effect "how come nobody complains when it's white folks being deported back to Europe?" I ask for an example. Do you have one or not? One thing that may surprise you: The English don't like Polacks so much these days. They were among those demonized in the Brexit vote. Lots written on that if you feel like heading to the internet to see for yourself.

As a Chicago boy you may think of Polacks or Slavs as regular old Europeans--the good kind. And yet here in another place where English is the language, such people are not considered desirable. But even Poles and Slavs are above the itinerants, the Roma, the Irish Travelers, in the general European pecking order. What I see is people discussing this topic by trying to use geography as a substitute measure for who is desirable and who isn't. People coming from the north or northeast are OK, people coming from the south or southeast are bad, people coming from the southwest are better, and people from due west are sort of...meh. But applying compass directions to this topic is like using a cheap brand of paint to cover some bad graffiti--on the surface it's different but look closely and you can still see what is underneath.

Congress and the different administrations have created this problem along with the parents of these people who brought them into our nation illegality as well as themselves. The current administration is saying enough is enough and I have supported that position for years. The issue is you can't deport the amount of people that are here. How can you take 200,000 people who are here and round them up and drop them off into a country that can't support 200,000 extra people in the case of El Salvador. While I'd like to see that happen I just don't see the US doing that.

Absolutely--esp. the Bushes...whose billionaire friends like the Tyson family were getting richer from cheap foreign labor.

M1shooter saying that Congress and different administrations have created this probelem... and your response.... is exactly right.

But there is a fly in the ointment.... Congress and elected administrations means we are responsible... me and you. And why did we wait so long to cry about this problem ??

I cried here on this forum 14 years ago... right here on Culvers ... about the immigrant problem and everyone here handed me my head. In fact one jerk named Geofrey The Cruel Conservative informed me that it shouldn't be a problem if I was a true conservative and not afraid to compete.....

I've said it before.... you didn't vote for Pat Buchanan back in the day.... ya voted for Bush.... then you are responsible.... and should man up to that fact.

I voted for George Wallace, and what did it get me?

Best you can do is vote for the least bad candidate that has a realistic chance of winning. At the time, I thought that SOB Bush was the least bad--but THAT was before he started the never ending wars in Afghan & Iraq, which lead directly to the birth of ISIS! Now, wish I'd voted instead for Gore, because, though he would have done nothing to stem the invasion of Hispanics, he wouldn't (I don't think!) have created the chaos which has produced the invasion of ragheads from the Middle East, and as a threat to our culture, nothing is worse then them.

I disagree a little with you there.... you see... voting for the least bad is not the best you can do.... voting for the least bad got you what ?... thats right... and I didn't vote for the prick but your vote got me the same as you.... vote your mind even if others will tell you its a throw away.....

I wonder if politics on either side will ever agree on a partial loaf, or whether the respective sides will continue to hold out indefinitely for either a whole loaf or no loaf at all. Can't really be viewed as a national emergency if camps unwilling to leave entrenched positions.

Ah...I see you're playing with me like you play with the others. It may surprise you that as a Chicago boy I do know the differences as I actually do spend some real time in the trenches around here. You replied to my initial post with:

Would need a specific example JB.
Sort of like you saying you changed your socks and I reply : "You gotta link to a reputable source?" C'mon now. If you truly wanted an example then I offered you one straight from the horses mouth.(He speaks fluent English) Since you aren't interested then may I suggest contacting the Chicago copy of Dziennik Związkowy and read through some past issues. They are the only ones who ever make mention of deportations and that's just a small fraction of the numbers that actually happen.
Putting my use of the word "nobody" into context for its intended purpose here, I meant they aren't being published/telecasted by any major news source and there isn't much discussion on the English speaking forums, blogs, or social media sites.
Finished nit picking yet? *gulp*....I dared to ask.
