Ducking Sandpebble's question, y'all. Try it this way: AR type actions are classified as NFA firearms, 18 month transition period to get a tax stamp or surrender. Who here has the balls to say they would bury some "just in case"? Myself I wouldn't like giving my fingerprints to the government but I would do it. Actually I used EXACTLY YOUR reasoning. You stated that it was OK with you for an illegal criminal alien to break the law (by breaking into the US) and be caught immediately and punished, but if he evaded detection and capture for twenty years, all should be forgiven and he should be allowed to profit from his initial and continuing crime.

It is a pity that you cannot understand logic, and must stoop to personal attacks ("child analogy").

No Boggs I'm not criminally abetting anyone... you see ultimately the wife followed "your " immigration laws.... and now whether you like it or not.... she's one of us. Fact of the matter is that she only came because she wanted to see snow... imagine that. Now she owns a business and even employs people... all of them legal. All pass a back ground check though frankly a larger percentge fewer of the native borns pass that .... and if we had to administer a drug test.... well , that percentage would be diminished even greater.

To put it bluntly, this is something that I have riled against since 1989. Illegal is illegal regardless of the time in question. As for what I wrote, what was astounding that Togor took it literally instead of a parable. Throw out a college kid? No one is "throwing out", simply stating the law and asking the "kid" to return to their country of origin rather then continue their criminal activity. These pesky immigration law are there for a reason with the expectation of enforcement. Personally I do not see Congress pass any laws for their relief and Barry made it easier for these people to be picked up for deportation. Congress passes laws that need to be enforced, it is as simple as this. I break the law twenty years ago with no statue of limitations and get caught. Would you allow the person to walk scot free? If so, why pass any laws in this Republic? As for the First Lady, if she did something wrong should she be treated any different?
