If they are not be charged as adults (and I can understand that) then their parents are responsible for the damage, and must make the beekeepers whole. if this results in penury for both families, tough. Should not be a bankruptable debt, either.Comment

Laws vary around the country, but I know here a juvenile can be court ordered to pay up themselves and can be ordered not to use their parents money. For a traffic violation a judge ordered my 16 year old (at the time) daughter to pay the hefty fines on her own according to a payment plan established by the County Clerks Office. Her driving PRIVILEGES (emphasis by the judge) were on probation until the age of 21.
When one creates blanket liabilities for parents then one opens up a nasty can of worms. It also does not teach the juvie any lessons if someone else foots their bill for them. On the other hand, a court could order the parents responsible depending upon the individual circumstances.2016 Chicago Cubs. MLB Champions!
