When my cousin was killed in a training accident in Germany, it took approximately 30 days for his service pay and insurance money to reach my aunt. So now, because the Democrats shut the gov't down, some charity has to step in and get the money to the family before the funeral could even be held?

before I even read the article I knew that a Democrat was using the deaths of our service men for political gain.

There is a difference.
In the 19th century the Democrats did what they thought best for their state even if it lead to a civil war.
In the 20th century the Democrats did what's best for themselves even if it might lead to civil war.
In the 21st century the Democrats are provoking civil war thinking it might be even better for them.
