you are an idiot. red baited you, and you took it deep. you yourself right here admit you dont read anything, so why do you keep bitching about me not reading stuff (that i actually do). you consistantly talk out your ass, and when anything remotely challenges your BS, you change topic, or start screaming that no one reads what you wrote or linked. your like a bible thumper that cant fathom that the info presented may not be factual!

Gentlemen: I was going to remind everyone that we had sort of agreed as a new year's resolution that we would all try to be somewhat more polite to one another than had been the practice in the past year. I have just realized, however, that the apparent animosity between some of our members is not so much animosity as joint fun between them with the rest of us acting as a cheering section -- so go to it guys and welcome to 2018 (or 2016 again!)Comment

Leftyo, I said I didn't need to read the link to know that they were talking about aerosol reductions, and the impact this was having on the climate alongside CO2 emissions. And then I did read it, and lo, there it was, sulfates reflect sunlight.
If you can't read the posts and understand what you are reading, then I can't fix this. And Mark, no, it's not so much entertaining as it is sad. Scientific illiteracy is not funny.
Some guys here get the climate change connection, some don't. The ones that do don't need me to carry the banner. The ones in denial don't want to hear it from me. Atmospheric CO2 doesn't care what anyone's opinion is on the subject, so going forward, neither will I.Comment

Well Bill if you're in CO and get to the high country then you've seen things change. I've been going to Wyoming for over 35 years and you bet there are big changes near the timberline. Comparing photos from last year to 1981, it's there. So no guarantees that I won't take a pot shot at stupid if an entertaining opportunity presents itself. But not every time. Even I get bored by that.Comment

I’ve seen massive kill off of pine trees. Are pine beetles caused by global warming?"A generation which ignores history has no past and no future." - Jean Boden

It's the species swarming over the earth like locust on a wheat field. Adapting to different environments and developing a stubborn resistance to most counter measures. Ravaging one food supply only to move on to another and/or adapt to other sources. That adaptation results in them giving off noxious gases and dangerous chemical by-products which further damage the environment. All the while the species continues to multiply thus further compounding the process on a quantum scale.
Oh...pine beetles? Sorry. I was talking about us.2016 Chicago Cubs. MLB Champions!

Accumulation of stresses on the trees make them susceptible to the bark beetle. The drought, the warmer temperatures in the alpine regions put trees under water stress. Loss of glacial ice in the Rockies and elsewhere in the world is well documented. Most people here go neither to the high latitudes or the high country so they never see for themselves. The cornfields look about the same, the AC setpoint is the same, so it all must be a hoax.Comment

The latest news is that the earth is warning us that if we don't kill off all the Tumpsters that are murdering the earth and replace Trump with Hillary, we are in for a horrendous earthquake that will destroy the U.S. and hundreds of millions of polluting people. This is from a very reliable source. It's the species swarming over the earth like locust on a wheat field. Jeessss, now you guys have me scared.
Togar, I regularly take the old CJ5 up into the high country west of here and in fact just got home a couple of hours ago. I also take an annual weeks trip to the San Juan’s and to be quite honest, it still looks the same.
