    Its been two days....

Its been two days....and not a single comment ..

Two days since yet another school shooting .... a mass shooting.... and not a mention of it here .

I guess it is so common in our country... our culture.... we barely even flince anymore .

It's possible the young perpetrator in another one of those "riddlin" kids who need abnormal drugs in order to be normal ....

But what is a fact... with out a doubt fact.... is that an irrisponsible gun owner allowed that 15 yr. old to obtain that fire arm ......

now before you all start wailing again.... understand this....

that is NOT an ANTI gun statement .... it is an anti responsible gun owner statement

any one here understand that..... ?

I've heard no report about how the rotten little brat acquired the gun. Maybe somebody was irresponsible--but how do you know?

Are you talking about the one in Kentucky? Sad to say it was the 11th school shooting of the year. I haven't been watching as closely as you (obviously) but from what I can tell he opened up with a pistol killing two and wounding or injuring about a dozen more as a result of the melee. Have later stories said anything about where he got the gun?

Here in Cowtown all the kids have access to guns. PD stores guns for kids living in the dorms at the college. HS kids all run around slaughtering little creatures 24/365. We depend on good open back and forth communication to keep a lid on it. Kids keep a check on each other; so far it works.

But two weeks ago the the HS Guidance Counselor went off the deep end and threatened to take out one or both of the schools. Really.

Well... ya know... I gotta admit I miss those days when Dads hunting rifles could be displayed in an unlocked glass case without fear ...

But I have to say I believe those days are past.... "kids keep a check on each other" you say? .... Cowtown or city, that just makes me feel a bit nervous now a days....

.... nowadays Cowtown kids need Ritin too

"the times they are achanging!" ring a bell? You are right, what use to be is no longer and one has to prepare for anything. My pdw are secured which means nothing if someone wants to break in. I have yet to hear how the child secured the weapon and am interested to know. My guess is from his parents.

Child? Old enough to murder viciously ought to mean old enough to swing, fry, or otherwise be eliminated from the gene pool; it won't, but hope the lifers show him what "being bullied" really means.

Too many parents are too busy with their lives to take care of the kids. Hand them TV, phones, computers to keep them occupied. To keep track of them just call and see where the little darlings are. Remember the Harry Chapin song, "Cats in the cradle" now that is here.

Has a parent ever done prison time or lost their gun rights as a result of their kid laying hands to a firearm and committing a crime with it? No case comes to mind.

None that I have been aware of, that being said parents have been jailed/fined for neglecting their children. Some people are born evil and not much can be done about that. A closer look at the family unit could be warranted in this case. My parents had a simple rule, you get in trouble in school bigger trouble at home. One did not bring dishonor upon the family, it just wasn't done.
