If by sheltered you mean I don't get cable, or dish and thereby miss out on the fine programming of Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, etc., then yes it's true. On the other hand I do get out to work with and talk live to lots of people from all over the world, so in that respect no.

So you compare Fox News to an imaginary WET, but you don't watch FN since you don't have it available in the house? Did you get that opinion from the people you talk and work with or on DU?

Umm...there are things called hotels, where people go when they travel (which I do), where there is cable TV in the rooms. There is also this thing called the internet, where it is possible to view clips of cable TV programs. But maybe I get it all wrong, that Fox News isn't geared towards a white viewer base, and you can tell me the names of the high quality Fox News programs that are a big hit with the minorities.

For sure I see them on the crappy -2, -3, HDTV channels my roof antenna pulls in. Along with ads for ambulance chasers, Trac-Phones, walk-in tubs, scooters, grab-its, tape for fixing your boat, pills to make you look like like retired slugger Frank Thomas, etc.

Horrible stuff, but unbearably worse to be paying a cable bill for the same privilege.

EVERY network must pander to minorities? Because every other one does so flagrantly! But the most sickening panderers aren't the other networks, they're the advertisers (or rather the ad agencies)--nobody from Nepal or Outer Mongolia or any other remote part of the world, could watch an hour of American TV on ANY network without coming to the "obvious" conclusion that the US population was at least 50% non-white.

Not much--this is to satire as 3.2 beer is to Everclear. Any satire worthy of the name directed at the NAACP, or any other minority organization, would have caused a riot outside their office.

The writers & actors on Saturday Night Live have made careers out of satirizing Trump & friends, but can anyone imagine that pompous field-hand John Lewis, for ex., or weepy Cory Booker, being a target of even the mildest mockery?
