umm Clark ... If I may offer.... this isn't a firearms forum ... it's a "politcal" forum and there is a difference... ya know ?

and if there isn't an opposing view point on a political forum... well... that forum is allready destroyed

a respectfully offered point of view...

I was unaware you were banned and I would have taken the same stance I took with Red had I known. I can't stand people being excoriated and banned based on what they say or how they say it. To do so puts us in the same category as social justice warriors who want to limit free speech. Antifa, in my opinion, means Anti First Amendment. As the old, hackneyed but true statement goes: I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend your right to say it. It is called being an American patriot.

I don't think Red is banned now.

Antifa means Anti-Facist. They show up when the Nazis and KKK do, to give them a bad time. They're less organized than the Nazis, but don't lack spirit. Remember the Nazis are quite open about using violence against their opponents when it suits them, and about using the power of the state to forcibly suppress dissent, if ever they get control of the state. Modern day sentiments, not just 1930s stuff. Liberal peaceniks agree with you, that violence against the Nazis might only lead to sympathy for their "victimization". Better they say to let the Nazis spout their cartoonish doctrine of racial inequality to the thin air. I say that in the age of Trump, being overly-polite with the Nazis is a luxury we may not be able to afford. Like Trump himself says, sometimes you have to fight.

That's de jure; de facto it DOES mean anti-freedom of speech...because as they say themselves repeatedly, "speech is violence." Speech, that is, that they object to, not their speech, of course.

What's on the other side of the coin, CH?

One can oppose both the Nazi/KKK and the Antifas in the same breath on the grounds that they are against street violence as a political expression. But a one-sided criticism of the Antifas is a silent endorsement of the Nazis & KKK. That's how it is taken. If someone doesn't like that, then they can exercise their First Amendment rights and clear up the confusion.

If you do a little research into fascism you will find that "Antifa" is about as fascist an organization as is out there. You may say Antifa means Anti-Fascist, but I say by their deeds you will know them. They will attempt to stifle any ideas that do not agree with theirs.

And yet you cannot condemn them and the Nazis/KKK in the same breath. This should be an easy one because you're against political violence and brutish racial policies, right?

Subject isn't violence, it's FREE SPEECH. Which Antifa, and other left-wingers, are continually attempting to deny not only to Nazis, but to ANY conservative speaker.

I don't worry much about the Nazis and the KKK since it seems that radical islam and antifa are more of a threat to America right now than those goose stepping, sheet wearing dorks. I have also put the visigoths on the back burner until they become the threat that Antifa, the American left and radical islam currently are. First threats first. By the way, I can say proudly that my Dad probably killed more Nazis from his B17 than most folks on this forum. He was getting ready to go do the same in the Pacific when the Japanese discovered fission.

                        Correction,

The Japanese did not discover fission, they experienced fission.

                          Al Gore invented fission.

Not so. There was a Jewish carpenter from Galilee who took a few fission trips in his travels.

Yes, and he walked on heavy water.

                                An accurate distinction! Thanks!
