they arent hard to spot, but everyone is scared to do anything with them. the only way to make a change is to start teaching kids to be decent humans, and giving them the tools in life to deal with both success and failure, so that when crap happens to them they dont implode. it is going to take a long time to turn this around, and it wont happened until people get off the just pass more laws kick. one thing we know for certain is that laws dont stop crimes!

All it will take is replacing most public school teachers, or at least abolishing the teacher's unions. Yes, a long, long, time.

We can start the change in our society with each other, right now, right here.

I already have -- I have two daughters, one with a Master's Degree, the other with her Doctorate. I have two grand daughters currently in Catholic schools.

But what about the millions of other people who let their kids run wild?

Recently while waiting in the cue for my short chat with the US Customs and Border Protection representative, they brought a 13" beagle through the line and asked everyone to put their bags down so she could have a sniff. Nothing happened that I saw, but I did wonder if the girl was fond of hard cheese, having brought some back with me. For a moment there you can do nothing but watch the dog and see what happens. I would guess that an open bag of dog treats in your carry-on would guarantee a thorough search of all of your effects and is something to be avoided if at all possible.

Those dogs are highly trained and it shouldn't happen. When my Bro 'n law was stationed at O'Hare intl' years ago, their crash unit was returning from a drill when they spotted a dog out along the runways. Firemen being who they are simply took the pooch on board the engine and drove back to the house. A retirement party was under way when they called in to report a found dog. Hours passed. Meanwhile the pooch enjoyed the food and playing with the guys as though it was his first time.
When the police finally arrived at the station house they were horrified and...let's say mucho pissed off. It was one of their sniffers who decided to take a stroll. After being fed all kinds of flavorful foods the dog was ruined. Hundreds of training hours and thousands of dollars went out the window. Those dogs are strictly controlled, diet is 'medical' containing none of the flavorings our own dogs have learned to enjoy. Their rewards come from finding certain things and those things only.

FWIW, there was a little rodeo going on in the house because the pooch decided he likes firemen better than cops. He didn't want to go.

There's hope for them there. Though even Catholic schools have to choose from the rotten ranks of teacher-college grads--such as that hot lesbo who not only married her dyke girlfriend, but plastered the news & photos all over the internet in order to bask in the praise of other lesbos. Fired by the school but now suing for this infringement of her "right" to violate the core principles of her employer. And how many men have recently been fired from high-paying jobs merely on the basis of an unproven allegation? No "rights" for them.
