...let more than 180 juveniles with life sentences out of jail early. That's just what Philadelphia needs, more murderers on the streets. I feel sure they will all become model citizens. Check it out:

SCOTUS ruled the city resentence those cases. Methinks the DA is going a little further than what the Court had in mind. The story doesn't cover all, but it did explain both ends of the spectrum. I feel as though some of those "kids" which were sentenced as an accomplice to the crime probably have done enough time inside for that. The others...well, you can't housebreak an animal when it's inside a cage. Those are the cases in which someone new is likely to suffer the DA's decision to let them roam. Parole isn't going to help until they can lock them up again for violations.
