There is no easy way to die when you know it is going to happen to the minute. So there is no way to execute that is not 'cruel and unusual' in reality. So the only way to settle the question is go back to the time constitution was written. Hanging was probably the most used method. Some pain experienced should not enter into it. Natural causes are sometimes painful.

No, bring back the rope--absolutely certain & painless if done correctly; not that "painless" should be a great consideration.

But even the gallows & other paraphernalia needed for a "clean" hanging is unnecessary trouble (unless done publically for its deterrence value); what's quicker & more painless than a .22RF in the back of the head? Which I think is the way it's done in Russia.

I never could figure out why they banned the electric chair. It was quick and always worked. I read somewhere that it costs $20,000 to execute someone by lethal injection. You could run him over with a truck for a lot less money.

I am sorry to inform you that the death penalty is NOT cruel or in humane!!!! With the needle they just go to sleep. YOU NEED TO READ THE PRE SENTENCE REPORTS and this will make up your mind that we should put more to death. It costs the STATE or FEDS a good $18,000.00++ a Year to house these pieces' of crap and every darn one of them are on death row for a good twenty years. Why don't you add that up and then see what it costs to prepare for the death chamber. I worked in a Max male prison for almost 20 years- no not a guard- and I had to set up the death chamber. Its awful to see the families come to watch the execution thinking it will put an end to their constant court crap the inmate and his/her attorney has put them through, but when you use the needle they JUST GO TO SLEEP. The families Know what happened to their love one for heavens sake. I say bring on the firing squad. In my old prison we had gas ( but then the gas went under the sealed chamber and gasses a few) then we had firing squad, then we had electrocution - and I even had the electric chair in my office, and ended up with the needle. Too many cry babies and liberal out there. You just don't know what these criminals really do to people. NO Nevada is still the needle, but too much BS is slowing the time down that they can be in prison for 20 to 25 years. Sorry I just could Not handle the cry babies anymore. Deb

Simple answer to this sort of mess up. Give the execution team more practice. With more practice, they will get more efficient at the job. Less problems for everyone. Just give them more practice. It's not complicated. They'll get amazingly good ... with just practice. JMHO. Sincerely. bruce.
