This is good, actually--the broader the brush, the less chance of passage; though that chance is small even if narrowly focused on AKs & ARs.

Broad brush is an understatement. They left thousands of firearms off the exemption list. It looks as though someone went through some recent catalogs thinking those are the only guns out there.
