    student brings bomb to school

The Oklahoman is the number one source for Oklahoma City breaking news, politics, business, sports, entertainment and obituaries.

what should we ban now? I was talking to some high school seniors the other day about the school shootings and one them laughed and jokingly said if he wanted a big body count he would just run down with his car all the kids waiting in line to get through security.

I'd put him on a short list.

you really have to ask the liberals who seem to think more gun laws is the answer. where there is a will, there is a way, and the laws and regulations will not stop anyone from trying to commit mass murder.

Guns of course. The day after the Oklahoma City bombing of the federal building that is all Bill Clinton could talk about.

The democrats do not like the wording of our 2nd amendment. They realize it is a protection of the American citizens from.......... them.

Most anything can be used to kill someone: A knife, a hammer, ice pick, screw driver, a piece of glass, the lid from a tin can, cars, poison, STD's, AIDS, A crowbar, Amtrak, none of which we have a constitutional right to own or possess.

Guns on the other hand are accurate, easy to conceal and with the use of the proper operator, can be used to reach out and touch someone.

Unless a person leads a life of corruption, lies, thief, and betrayal to the public they actually have little fear of being gunned down.

Crime control would disable too many democrat voters so it's better for them to blame guns and push for gun control.

When a politician wants to eliminate the very tool that the constitution provides we use in our defense against them (the government) red flags should come up no matter how PC and liberal you may be.

oh no, i really want to hear how your idea of adding more gun laws would have deterred this! dont know how many times ive heard you say more common sense gun laws is doing something, no matter how many times ive pointed out criminals dont obey laws, and they will find other ways, etc , etc. i have to know how more laws is going to stop this?!??!?!?!?!?!!?!? surely there has to be a law stating that bringing BOMBS TO SCHOOL IS ILLEGAL! hard to imagine someone would not follow the letter of the law! maybe we need more common sense bomb laws. close the bomb show loophole, better bomb background checks, anything if it even stops one bad bomb! lets not forget better bomb registration, an outright ban on bumpbombs. most definately limit the high capacity bombs, them things are pure evil. ahh and we should raise the bomb owning age to 21, yup that should do it!! just common sense! dont forget, its for the kids!

Yesterday, in Israel, a Palestinian used his car to run over 2 Border Police, 2 IDF soldiers, and a woman who was just standing nearby. The same thing can easily happen here and there is no way of preventing this. Many of these attacks are copy-cat actions by people who want to memorialize themselves in one way or another.

Just take a look at what is happening in the UK which has very strict gun control. London had about 800 attacks last year in which acid was sprayed in peoples faces which disfigured them forever.

Speaking of the UK and those dastardly acid attacks. Alas, even pepper spray is denied them. This is what they get. Better than nothing I suppose.

OK. Anthrax powder tossed into the ventilation system of an enclosed dome facility during a football game. Cyanide dumped into the municipal drinking water supply. My point is you don't have to have a gun to kill someone. You can push someone out a window for that matter.

Our government is only concerned about eliminating guns not crime.

true. but a car or a truck, or how about a car bomb? isn't that the preferred method in a lot of the middle east?

have to go back to the strong argument that if you really want to kill a lot of people you will find a way.
we have to concentrate on the ones who want to commit the crimes, not the things they use.

wasnt it a knife used a few years ago in finland i believe, and the guy killed quite a pile of children. again, its not the tool, it is the criminal that is the problem.
