So, for Eight hours, the cops waited outside...

In reference to the hostage situation where the three women were murdered...The hostage taker killed the three women and then himself... While the law waited outside and took positions. Ever watchful. For Eight Hours. Hoping things wouldn't get worse.
    Man...

Hindsight is 20/20. The cops did not know what we know now that it is over. I'm sure they were trying to persuade the shooter to come out and not kill anyone and spent 8hrs doing it. Shooting teargas in sometimes just hurts the victims. Nowdays too the cops have to be concerned about legal procedure and what is PC to keep from being fired and sued. Not saying all was done right but none of us were there. With that many cops available I would assume if a opportunity had come up someone would have done it or suggested it.

They're just lucky the ATF wasn't there to show them the "Waco" style.

I've read that the cops didn't hear anything for Eight hours after the last shots were heard coming from inside. Eight hours.

it would seem SOP for police these days is to wait until any danger has passed.

Actually, it could've been their SOP. Who knows.
Id think though that there'd been at least one agressive and undisciplined man among them who'd say "F@ck it!" and just go in.
That's what it's going to take to get sh!t done.
Well, IF this 8 hour issue comes up in the press, things will afterward change.

The operating procedures for this police department were to go in and confront the shooter immediately. These were shown last week on Fox News. The deputy chief police officer, a female Captain, violated the procedure and ordered the 3 reponding officers to take up positions outside and set up a perimeter. This was also reported on Fox News and discussed in previous posts.

Well, somebody did something. One cop killed and one injured.

Isaias De Jesus Valencia, 39, was apprehended Saturday after barricading himself in an apartment and holding a SWAT team at bay for more than 15 hours, authorities said.

And yet the leftists keep telling us, "You don't need a gun. The police will protect you."

It was a gun free zone so none was needed I guess, just like the Post Office in town.
