Leftyo I'm talking about the same grammatical error, made twice in the same thread in two different posts.

The correct usage is "you're", as in the contraction for "you are", and not "your", the possessive pronoun. Yes they sound the same but we're (contraction for "we are") communicating through written as opposed to spoken use of the language. You first make this mistake in post #7 and do it again in post #11, apparently unaware that I was pointing this out. So you are telling me that I don't know what I'm talking about when you are unable to detect and correct a basic grammatical error. Contractions are taught when? Third grade? Explains a lot.

Sorry to interrupt such an enlightening debate, but back to the subject: how would you feel about finding out you'd been fired by reading about it on Twitter? Even a pink slip in the mail would be more dignified.

Totally sucks. Know the feeling. Got fired once via phone @ 9pm. Calls came in from other carpenters asking who all got the axe. Discovered the site foreman took it upon himself to fire everyone including the operators and let the laborers do the job for less money. Got the idea in a bar that evening. Lasted half a day.
Cost his boss a weeks pay and an additional $200 fine per man, and he still had to hire another crew to replace the ones let go in violation of the regional agreement*. (We all went to work the next day for other contractors.)
Needless to say that foreman didn't impress anyone and had a hard time finding work after he was fired for his misconduct. "His name was Mudd."

*Layoffs are F2F w/1 hour allowed to round up personal tools and gear and to receive the final paycheck. Dismissals can be immediate with solid grounds but include payoff for time worked.

So, from feeling like crap to snickering like Muttley. It worked out.

it is not the right way to fire/let someone go. Trump being a business man , should know better!
