So students are walking out of classes for gun control today (or at least as an excuse to skip class).
If they are willing to accept the appropriate consequences for their actions - more power to them. It's part of the maturation process.
If they are unwilling to take responsibility for their actions - to hell with them and their opinions.
I do not feel that being a "victim" grants additional wisdom or credibility; it grants no entitlement; and their voices should be listened to only to the same extent that their voices would have deserved had they not been a "victim".
if these students are not mature enough to vote, bear arms, or take on other adult responsibilities, what makes them mature enough to pronounce on national policy of any type? Emotion is not reason.
