Why are so many students protesting against guns?

Some would protest against anything to get out of class but here is one reason that comes as no surprise to anyone.

Because they're supported & encouraged by teachers & the media, both groups unrelenting gun-haters.

because they are young, ignorant, and brainwashed. most of them have no real concept of what has happened, or the fact that laws and regulations dont stop crimes. no matter how many times idiots put the word common sense out there!

"Common sense" is the new shorthand substitute for "we want your guns!" Think it's a coincidence that ALL gun-restriction advocates have made it their mantra, repeating it endlessly??? Must admit that's it's a fiendishly clever PR strategy--who's against "common sense"? Only way to counter it is to fight fire with fire--NRA should begin calling all its proposals "common sense."

I think it would be clear & obvious "common sense" to make drug-dealing a capital offense as it is in China, Singapore, etc. Somehow, I think the gun-haters who mouth that term as often as they can get before a TV camera would disagree.

They'd say it's because they don't want to get shot.

This whole thing is very contrived, choreographed, these kids are being manipulated. I recall no "Children's Crusades" against drugs, underage drinking and DUI-texting while driving.

Then stop making the kids who "don't fit in" miserable enough to strike back.

What are we on about here? The kids walking out, or the kid being suspended for NOT walking out?

They'd say that they're not, that it's other kids doing it.

I could go a long way towards solving the drug problem, but you wouldn't like my methods as rope and lamp posts would be a major feature of the program.

I always said anyone SELLING drugs should get a mandatory death sentence. Now I find there are already laws on the books that state criminal drug sellers shall get the death sentence. Well, they're all criminals if they are selling. Trump is stating he wants to enforce this old law now that all the others have ignored.

if we in this country enforced a tenth of our laws, our crime levels would be drastically different.
