Clearly Trump is frightened of Putin. Trump should not be US President, if for no other reason than this. It will take time to remedy the situation, and damage will occur to the nation's position in the world.

Not hating him (as the left wing says we MUST) = fear? Ridiculous.

What American demagogue enjoys the same level of support among US citizens as Putin does among his?

CH, just because Putin dislikes the same people that you do (gays, Muslims and blacks, probably) doesn't make him your friend or imply that he wants the USA to do well. Indications are that he wants to take us down a few pegs in international standing to make his own shabby way of doing business shine in a better light.

It's sure as hell a step in the right direction. The only blacks I dislike are those who take it upon themselves to do me wrong--such as (to take one example out of many) agitating for destruction of Confederate monuments. Or think that the best way to control inner-city gang crime is to take away MY guns. Or...but why reiterate what's common knowledge? Point is, if you (of whatever race) make yourself my enemy, do not I have the right to make you mine?

...imply that he wants the USA to do well.
Why should he...when this country & NATO constantly threaten his country? He's condemned & punished for reclaiming without bloodshed an indisputably Russian province, to the joy of its population, while we fund NATO's unprovoked attacks on Serbia & Libya, so who's the chief aggressor?

Pretty clear to me that you went first in the "adding enemies to the list" exercise, and that you've been at it for some time now.

You tap-dance around the Putin issue, saying he has a right to f*ck with us if he judges it in his interest to do so (which he clearly does), but somehow a call for a vigorous response from the United States fails to escape your lips. Like Trump you are silent on the issue. Being a Russian apologist....that's what you hoped you'd become when you grew up? Well congratulations on that.

Is it absolutely necessary for you to accuse other members of this forum of racism, homophobia and islamophobia? With no evidence to back it up?

Is that like your tap-dancing around the vicious and unending war against conservative values waged by the media & entertainment industry, every day in every way, on TV, in films & print? How does "Russian meddling" compare with THAT? It compares like a grain of sand does to a beach. Anything Russians can do to redress that monstrous imbalance, more power to them.

Don't know who you are. Don't know what you might consider worthwhile, etc. In the recent election, the Republicans did everything they could to stop Trump. The demokrats were thrilled to see Trump gain the nomination as they thought he'd be a easy candidate to beat. They nominate clintons wife ... qualified by her being married to the former president to thus run as the demokrat presidential candidate. The demokrats thought it was a sure thing. Guess that wasn't their brightest move. They gamed their own system to eliminate Sanders and give the nomination to clinton. Then they got a dose of reality in Nov. 2016. Now, if you are still bruised over loosing the recent election cycle ... well, what does it matter? Really? What does it matter? You didn't really want to see clinton in the white house did you?

It would have been better all the way around if Republicans had had someone of the caliber of Reagan available, but such men come along only infrequently. As it is, Trump was the man who could and did beat the best the demokrats could put up for nomination. As it is, Trump has put an excellent man on the SCOTUS, a man who can be counted on to follow the original intent of the COTUS. Trump has proceeded to put conservative jurists on the federal courts. Given time, more will be appointed. This will help to straighten out the left-wing tilt of the federal judiciary.

Now, as to putin. Don't really ever think about the man much. It's like asking when was the last time you thought about whoever it is who picks up your trash? Hopefully he is a decent man. But, do you know his name? Do you know anything at all about him. If your trash gets hauled off, that's all that matters to you. It's about the same thing with putin. It just doesn't matter. He spits and sputters. That's about all. If the day ever comes that he wants to do more than spit and sputter, then it will be interesting to see just how he does with something more than merely playing army. His recent little escapade didn't turn out so hot. From a transcript of what happened it sounds like his people were the ones who ended up getting the sharp end of the stick. Odd that. Strong man and all that ... and his people are the ones who end up getting screwed up. Guess maybe he's not so tough as his press pretends. Sincerely. bruce.

If so, they don't know it. He overwhelmingly popular in Russia. Even our corrupt left-wing media acknowledges that!

Vern, when did lack of evidence stop them from anything? Innocent children follow their ways, adults ask for proof.

Ah ... popularity! The litmus test of how many fools a fool can fool. Who was it ... Lincoln? IIRC, he had something to say about fools ... you know! Something about ... you can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time. There have been plenty of liars like putin who have fooled a lot of foolish people. The foolish end up paying through the nose for being fools. That's just the way things work. JMHO. Sincerely. bruce.

Very possibly true somewhere down the line, but doesn't alter the fact that here & now his popularity in his own country exceeds that of any American politician.

now thats funny. togor is absolutely head up butt in the wrong, then you jump on him for doing the same exact things your buddy red has done for years. seems you never had one single problem with red doing it, and worse! heck youve piled on with red, ive been on the recieving end of it! none of you have ever given proof or evidence when accusing another forum member of anything! it shows low level thinking on all of your parts!
